Pawar addressed the Fellows with his advice for succeeding in social entrepreneurial ventures. For the aspiring social entrepreneurs in the room, who Pawar noted have plenty of talent and energy, Pawar stressed three key areas of special attention in their quest: 1. focus – stay organized and concentrate on only one major task at a time, 2. root causes – identify the root causes of problems and seek to rectify these causes instead of only cutting away at the branches and 3. perseverance – you must press on in the face of challenges in order to succeed.
Pawar also conveyed the importance of creating goals and breaking them down into smaller, more achievable objectives, and assigning each objective a deadline.
