We want leaders who:

• Desire to create lasting social change
• Are between 23-28 years (preferred)
• Have earned a graduate or post-graduate degree
• Possess at least 6 months work experience in the development   sector

Applicants may be from any part of India but should be prepared to relocate to Northwest Karnataka for the Fellowship period.

Applications for Cohort III of the Deshpande Fellowship Program are due on April 1, 2009. The third cohort for the Fellowship will begin in Summer 2009.

Fellows are provided with a base stipend of Rs. 7000 and may earn up to an additional Rs. 5000, depending on their performance.
