The Social Entrepreneurs in Residence (SEIR) initiative seeks to serve as a concentrated hub of activity for budding entrepreneurs to create scalable solutions for social problems. DCSE will function as an incubator for the Entrepreneurs and will provide the Entrepreneurs with logistical support and access to the Center’s networks and resources, even during the Entrepreneur’s exploratory stages. |

To make the Center a true launch-pad for these social ventures, SEIRs receive ample support in the form of space, materials, access to learned academics and professionals in a number of fields and, in some cases, finances. Residents are selected for the initiative based on demonstrated creativity, commitment to social causes, dedication and drive. Residents must agree to experiment with their idea in the Hubli-Dharwad region.
