You have an idea – or maybe you only have the vague notion of an idea – about how to propel progress in the development sector, but you don’t know where to start.

Why not start here?
The Deshpande Foundation is looking for creative, driven individuals with a passion for community who are determined to create scalable solutions for India’s biggest problems.  We are ready to invest in promising, budding social entrepreneurs by providing the resources and expertise to facilitate the metamorphosis of burgeoning ideas into a tangible solution.

The SEIR program will facilitate Resident activities in several ways.  Residents will

  • interact with one another to brainstorm potential innovations
  • generate forward-looking models in social entrepreneurship
  • test their newly developed ideas in the Hubli-Dharwad region
  • work in an environment ripe for innovation, our newly constructed building, equipped with the most current technology
  • be provided with access to the materials, networks, academic and professional resources and, in some cases, finances that will facilitate their success.
